We started learning about the benefits of cloth diapers after we welcomed our first grandbaby, Ivy, in July, 2008. Our son and his family moved to Charlotte, NC shortly after Ivy's birth and were unable to find a diaper service. They decided to open their own business, Ivy's Diaper Service and discovered that today's families are really excited about using a service that is not only extremely easy and convenient, it is great for the health of their baby and one of the very best ways to go green.
Surprised to learn that there was no diaper service available for families living north of Dallas, we reached out to see if there was any interest in this type of service and the response has been incredible. We have received inquiries from new moms, professional care givers, and pediatricians.
We recently returned to Texas after living and working in Japan for two years and were looking for a new project that we could work together which would keep us closer to home and be nearer family. We both have many years experience in the corporate world,
including long term projects in Europe and Asia and hope to incorporate that experience and diversity into our new venture, BlueBonnet Diaper Service.
To kick off our new business we set up a booth at the North Texas Kids Expo in Grapevine Mills on May 2nd where we had a wonderful time and a great turnout. Our thanks to Ivy for coming to town and being our diaper model. This was a wonderful event that provided a great afternoon of entertainment for local kids and collected school supplies for the Communities In Schools for North Texas.
We are very excited about having the opportunity to open such an environmentally friendly business and to bring this service to North Texas families.
